Will the cryptocurrency sector receive government support in line with Poles' expectations? Business Growth Review survey

How do the survey results reflect Poles' attitudes towards cryptocurrencies?
The Business Growth Review survey, conducted using the CAWI method, was commissioned by zondacrypto and carried out on a representative group of 1,188 Polish women and men over the age of 18. 66% of the survey participants were young adults aged 25 to 44.
The survey paints a decidedly optimistic picture of the attitude of young, professionally active Polish society towards digital assets. Of the 1,188 respondents, 91% want their country to support blockchain companies. Trust in licensed cryptocurrency exchanges was rated 3 on a scale of 1 to 5. Interestingly, commercial banks enjoy the same level of trust. The National Bank of Poland received one point more. Foreign crypto exchanges ranked at the same level as the Ministry of Finance, i.e. second. This means that Poles trust Polish institutions but are cautious about the regulator itself.
In light of the recent refusal by the Ministry of Finance to integrate the zondacrypto exchange with the government's mObywatel app, we asked Poles if they support this method of registration. More than half of them, exactly 56%, answered in the affirmative, with only 37% of respondents opposed. The majority of respondents, as many as 81%, also disagree that cryptocurrencies are contrary to good morals. Only 2% of respondents described them as such.
Like many other companies operating in Poland, we submitted an application to the Ministry of Digital Affairs to allow us to integrate with mObywatel. Unfortunately, we received a negative response, which was justified by the Ministry on the grounds that cryptocurrencies are immoral and not in line with good manners in Poland. Meanwhile, several betting companies, which are apparently moral, are already using the integration. In a conversation with one of the editorial offices, the Minister of Digital Affairs suggested that the company could always reapply, which we did. Now, the Ministry has asked for more time to consider it because the case is allegedly difficult and complicated — the deadline was initially 18 August, and now it is 30 September. So we are still waiting, although we will probably have to fight for our rights in court. Meanwhile, as the survey results show, Poles disagree with the Ministry of Digital Affairs and its approach to cryptocurrencies - comments Przemysław Kral, CEO of zondacrypto.
81% of respondents indicated portfolio diversification as the reason for entering the cryptocurrency market, which means that the Polish people treat them as an important and useful financial tool, rather than a moral issue. Although 41% expressed a desire for quick profits, the majority of respondents have a long-term approach. What other advantages do Poles see in cryptocurrencies? 19% highlighted them as a fast and convenient payment method, and 11% as a technological curiosity. A significant majority, as many as 91% of Poles surveyed, indicated that they expect the state to support blockchain and crypto companies.

The Ministry of Digital Affair has denied the zondacrypto exchange access to the mechanism for sharing data from the mObywatel application. There would be nothing surprising about this, were it not for the reason for the decision - the ministry considered cryptocurrencies to be ‘incompatible with good morals’. The refusal is all the more surprising given that identical integration is already used by at least four licensed bookmakers, a gambling industry traditionally seen as riskier. This one, however, has met no resistance from the administration.
