UPDATED INFORMATION 

 

Italian Law Decree – published in the Official Gazette on 30 June 2025, with number 95/2025 - sets out an extension of the period within which virtual asset service providers (VASPs) operating in Italy are required to seek the MiCA authorisation. 

The final deadline within which VASPs may continue to operate in Italy has been extended from 30 December 2025 to 30 June 2026, provided that a MiCA license application has been filed in Italy or in another EU member State by the end of December 2025.

 

We wish to inform you, that zondacrypto has already met with the above-mentioned obligation, namely - on 13 of June 2025, BB Trade Estonia OÜ (registration code 14814864, registered office Tähesaju tee 9, 13917 Tallinn) submitted an application to the Financial Supervision Authority (Estonia) for the issuance of an operating licence for a crypto-asset service provider pursuant to § 5(1) of the Crypto Equipment Act and Article 62(1) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 of the European Parliament and of the Council (MiCA).

 

We are currently awaiting the regulator's decision and will keep you informed of any further developments.
