zondacrypto, the European cryptocurrency exchange, strengthens its presence in Zug with a new office in the Crypto Valley for its Swiss entity and by entering a collaboration with Incore Bank.
zondacrypto is affiliated with VQF, a Swiss self-regulatory organization (SRO) for anti-money laundering purposes, and permitted to offer money transmitting services. Together, the two companies are set to offer regulated, secure cryptocurrency services.
Zug, January 14th, 2025 – zondacrypto, a successful fintech company and one of the largest European digital currency exchanges with over 1.35 million users, being licensed as exchange in Estonia, is expanding into Switzerland. With its office in Zug’s Crypto Valley and membership in the Swiss Blockchain Federation, as well as its Swiss entity being a member of the self-regulatory organization VQF, zondacrypto is bringing a wide range of services and a high level of security to the Swiss market. For over a decade, it has been operating with a strong regulatory focus, providing innovative crypto services that prioritize user safety and compliance.
"We started our operations in the EU with the aim of providing innovative crypto services in line with regulations that ensure the safety and security of users. At the time, this was not a common mindset in the cryptocurrency world. This approach put us ahead of our competitors and this is what attracted the attention of renowned financial institutions such as Incore Bank in Switzerland, which is a key market for our global expansion strategy," said Przemysław Kral, CEO of zondacrypto.
Founded in 2014, zondacrypto is known for its regulatory compliance. The Estonia-based entity of zondacrypto is fully ready for the new European MiCA regulation governing the crypto market. It ensures its customers' identities are verified with strict procedures to prevent illegal activities such as money laundering. The various entities of zondacrypto hold different licenses or self-regulatory organization affiliations in multiple markets, including Estonia, Italy, Cyprus, Canada, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Poland.
Subject to the local regulations, the entities of zondacrypto offer services like a professional trading mode (zondacrypto exchange), crypto-to-fiat payment gateway (zondacrypto pay), subscriptions with rewards in crypto of up to 23% annually and staking services (ZND platform), as well as a free educational platform (zondacrypto Academy), zondacrypto positions itself as a comprehensive provider of innovative cryptocurrency services. Notably, the company is also involved in sports sponsorship, supporting events like the Giro d'Italia and being an official sponsor of Juventus FC, highlighting its long-term commitment across Europe.
The partnership with Incore Bank, an innovative and internationally oriented Swiss bank specializing in services for businesses and managing traditional and digital assets, marks a significant step for zondacrypto. Recently, traditional financial institutions have increasingly been forming partnerships with crypto companies, highlighting the growing importance of digital assets as a standalone asset class. Incore Bank, a FINMA-regulated institution since 2007, has built a strong reputation for its expertise in both traditional and digital assets, as well as its modular service platform.
“We are proud to be the partner of choice paving the way for an innovative financial player like zondacrypto”, says Mark Dambacher, CEO of Incore Bank. “Partnerships like this bridge the gap between the traditional FIAT world and the regulated digital asset ecosystem. With its extensive range of services, advanced solutions, and strong technological expertise, Incore Bank is a true tech bank and one of Switzerland’s most innovative financial institutions.”
As part of the partnership, zondacrypto customers will benefit from:
Custody and trading of digital assets
Access to regulated liquidity pools
An optimized crypto infrastructure tailored for the Swiss market.
Guido Bühler, Non-Executive Board Member of zondacrypto, emphasizes: “With the support of Incore Bank, we can offer our Swiss customers a unique proposition – from ease of use to the highest levels of security and regulatory compliance. As one of the biggest exchanges in Europe, we are proud of extending our operations in Switzerland.”
However, the partnership with Incore Bank is just the beginning. zondacrypto plans to deepen and expand its collaborations with other partners in Switzerland and beyond to further strengthen its offerings in the crypto and financial sectors, in line with the company’s ambition to become one of the leading regulated crypto ecosystems.
With its office in Zug, the Swiss entity of zondacrypto positions itself at the center of the globally renowned Crypto Valley. The membership in the Swiss Blockchain Federation and the self-regulatory organization VQF underscores zondacrypto’s commitment to being a trusted partner in Switzerland.
zondacrypto’s and Incore’s management will be present at CfC in St. Moritz (January 15-17, 2025). Interested parties are invited to meet with them in person to learn more about the company’s future plans.
