About Valtteri Bottas:

Valtteri Bottas is a Finnish racing driver who started his career in racing karts at age 6. Over the next decade, he amassed countless race wins, multiple championships and had a 7-year run with Finland’s national karting squad. Moving onto single seaters in 2008, Valtteri won the 2008 Renault Eurocup and Formula Renault Northern European Cup. Valtteri’s continued success on his path to F1 led him to winning the Masters of Formula 3 in 2009, securing 3rd in the Formula 3 Euroseries the same year and winning the GP3 series on his first attempt later in 2011. 

Valtteri was assigned the Williams Test Driver in 2010 before becoming the official Reserve Driver in 2011, finally making his official Formula 1 debut for the Williams F1 Team in 2013. Valtteri helped see Williams to a third-place finish in the constructor's championship and fourth in the driver's championship before moving to a race seat with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team. He raced with Mercedes for 5 seasons before his departure to Kick-Sauber F1 Team (FKA Alfa-Romeo Orlen F1 Team) in 2022. During his tenure at Mercedes, Bottas secured 10 race wins, multiple podiums and played a key role in five consecutive Constructors’ World Championships, finishing 2nd twice in the World Drivers Championship. Bottas returned to the Mercedes fold in 2025 as the team's third driver.
