If you request a withdrawal to your card and it fails, there are usually three possible reasons:
- The card is blocked
- Withdrawals, like deposits, require the card to be active and enable online transactions (e-commerce).
- Log in to your banking app and check that online transactions are enabled and that the card is still active.
- Card limit
- Withdrawals to a card may be subject to online transaction limits.
- Example: If your card has an online transaction limit of PLN 1,000 per day, this is the maximum deposit amount. Additionally, if a payment of PLN 300 was made on that day, the limit available for deposit will be only PLN 700.
- Bank block
- Some banks and FinTech companies that issue cards block the ability to deposit funds onto the card. In this case, we are unable to process the withdrawal and the funds will not be debited from your account. Examples of companies that block such transactions include TransferWise, PSA Payment, Prepay Ltd., Dipocket, Twisto, Curve, some Santander bank cards, and PKO BP.
Please note that it is not possible to withdraw funds to:
- anonymous cards, such as prepaid cards
- virtual cards
- business cards.
